The first thing I’d like to say is a big “Thank you!” to our regular readers. We’re up to 30 subscribers to the Repercussion Comics blog, which is fantastic. You may or may not know this, but there are countless webcomics out there, so we really appreciate you taking the time to read ours and for “liking” our pages. The writers and artists we feature every weekday are making comics because we love to make comics, and while we’d love to be able to make a living publishing them, being able to share them with others and having others enjoy them is even more gratifying since this is a labor of love.
I’ve not posted too much of my own thoughts since hopefully our work speaks for itself, but I thought it would be nice to interact with our regular readers more, which is where this new daily “How do we rank?” feature comes in. If we can, we’d love to have more people discover and enjoy our comics, and you may have noticed little buttons underneath each page that talk about voting. Basically, there are a bunch of great websites out there devoted to increasing awareness of creators’ webcomics, and each vote brings a webcomic up in its ranks, hopefully leading to more readership.
And that’s what “How do we rank?” is about, to let you see how we’re doing out there, and to give you an opportunity to help get our comics read by more people. So every day, I’ll be posting what our current rank is amongst the various and sundry webcomic ranking sites to let you know how we’re doing amongst the webcomics at large along with a link to let you to vote on our comics. You can vote once a day, and the more votes we can get, the more potential readers we’ll reach. My goal is to get our comics featured in the top ten of the various ranking sites out there, and with your help, I think we can do it.
Having said all that, please don’t feel obligated. When it comes down to it, we are delighted with every reader we have because you are the ones who make it all worthwhile. So if you don’t have time or just don’t feel like it, we completely understand. The bottom line is that we hope you enjoy and continue to enjoy the stories we’re sharing. Thanks so much for your support, and hope you all have a great weekend!
And now to the ranking stuff. You can click on the links to vote (there isn’t a link to the Web Comic List since it just records people who check out our comics over at SmackJeeves):
